Base
- 2 squares unsweetened chocolate
- 2 eggs
- chocolate
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. sugar
- ½ c. flour
- ½ c. butter
- ½ c. nuts
Melt chocolate. Cream-butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Blend in chocolate. Stir in flour and nuts. Pour into greased 8x8x2-inch pan. Bake at 325° for 25 minutes. Cool and spread with frosting.
Frosting
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1 T. cream
- 2 T. butter, softened
- ½ tsp. peppermint extract
Combine powdered sugar, soft butter, cream and extract. Beat well. Spread over top of baked mixture.
Glaze
- 1 square unsweetened chocolate
- 1 T. butter
Melt chocolate with butter. Spread over frosting. Chill until firm.
